System design

The fundamental and comprehensive training allows students to graduate from the department  feeling confidence in choosing the direction for further study at the magistracy or JV and MMSA IPSA departments, other departments of the KPI,  in foreign universities. In turn, those who received a bachelor's degree at other KPI departments or in other universities, but want to get scientific specialty field in scientific research department and passed entrance exams, can do their Master`s degree at Dept. SP.

In this second stage  System Design Department offers two magister specializations in computer science.

1. System engineering

Experts of this specialty are the "system integrators, who have the general design methodology and are able to create hardware and software computer systems and  software purely  large complexes for different purposes, skillfully using modern computer technology (mathematical modeling, databases and knowledge of  computer networks, expert systems and decision support system, multimedia information technology, information resource network Internet) at all stages of individual or collective design optimization and development, namely: preliminary study of the principle selection, sketch design and technical projects, comprehensive engineering analysis and optimization project, preparation of the design documentation and informational control of the automated production.

Thus, system design  is a synthetic discipline, parts of which are advanced information technologies, including large projects as well, technical support system design based on the use of computer networks and telecommunication technologies, using workstations and personal computers, clusters and mainframes. A software system design is of different richness and variety of used methods in computational mathematics, statistics, mathematical programming, discrete mathematics, artificial intelligence. Software System Design centers are  the most sophisticated software systems, operating systems based on Unix, Windows-NT, programming languages u200bu200bC, C + +, Java and other modern CASE-technology, relational and object-oriented database management system (DBMS ), open systems and standard data exchange in distributed computer environment.

For example, a group  of 12 masters from the department involved in the development of theoretical and practical bases concerning creation and implementation technology of the XXI century is a Grid, which provides common access to computer resources (the changing of files and data in computers, sensors and networks ), sells a variety of modes for using, ensure strict control, management and organization of security systems supports the heterogeneity of the network load balance of computer nodes, etc.
