Education and Activities:

  • Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Faculty of Radio Engineering, electronic devices, a diploma of an engineer, 1957;
  • Imperial College of the University of London, IC Diploma, 1960;
  • Candidate’s thesis, Moscow Power Engineering Institute, 1961;
  • Doctoral thesis, Moscow Power Engineering Institute, 1968.

Scientific Work: Basic and applied research of the software of computer design, namely:

  • automatic forming methods of  mathematical models of objects in the form of algebraic differential equations or equations of state by describing their structure and components;
  • Implicit adaptive numerical methods of integration,  the order of which changes automatically from 1 to 6 while solving "hard" equations of a mathematical model, methods for solution of poorly conditioned linearized problems of very big dimension;
  • Methods of mixed simulation of several physical effects in the object (e.g., MEMS-micro- electronic-mechanical systems);
  • Methods of solutions paralleling of a mathematical model in distributed computer systems or clusters;
  • Semantic Grid technologies in science and education, collective designing on the Internet, etc.

He qualified 54 Candidates and 5 Doctors of Technical Sciences. He is an author of 424 scientific papers, including 29 monographs, textbooks and manuals, 15 booklets, 44 inventions and 2 patents.

Honored ranks: Order "Sign of Honour" (1986), Laureate of State Prize of Ukraine (1986), Honored Scientist and Engineer of Ukraine (1997), Honored Professor of NTUU "KPI" (1998), medal of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine "For Scientific Achievements" (2005), adjunct professor of Michigan State University (USA, 1993), Honored member of the Institute of Electro Engineers (ІЕЕ, England), Laureate of KPI prize (1972,1978,1990).
